By the way, I'm an atheist. I'm just trying to point out a flaw in the WT doctrine that a sincere theist may wish to spend some time exploring.

The video is good, but I feel it does not completely explain the WT doctrine.
The WT believes that Jesus gave his life for HIS BRIDE, and that THE BRIDE OF CHRIST
is an entity made up of 144,000 spirit-anointed human beings.
This BRIDE CLASS, according to the WT, have a share in the salvation (redeemption) of
all mankind.
This might be a fairly bullet-proof 'bible-basedâ„¢" argument if it wasn't for one thing: the
WT also believes that there is a sub-group with the ranks of the 144,000 spirit-anointed
human beings; a sub-group called "the faithful and discreet slave." The WT organization
has made it clear that it does not believe the "ordinary" spirit-annointed human being has
a place in running god's organization, just the ones who happen to be living at bethel HQ.
There is absolutely no scriptural basis for this teaching, but it is gulped down without examination,
like fly-and-maggot soup.
okay...so in the "revelation - its grand climax at hand!
" book, at the end of page 124 to 125...there is mention of "resurrected ones" of the annointed class/24 elders that may be the ones communicating information to the governing body.. 1. thought we were not to communicate with the spirit realm (scriptural).
2. does the "may be" mean that they don't even know, really, who's communicating with them?.
I won't come right out and tell you where they get their information from, but I'll give you a hint: the sun don't shine there.

it will not remain online for very long!.

A fine figure of a man, if i do say so myself - and i do.
And can it be that that fashion plate sharing the podium with him is his spiritual siamese twin, Freddy "Brownshoes" Franz!
Ah, those were the glory years of god's earthly organization, weren't they?
is leolaia under best of topics or do i have to read thru all the posts referenced under her name which would be quite time consuming.
i can't find her name under the best of topics section.
thanks..
LV101 makes a good point; if anyone here deserves her own shelf in the "Best Of" library, it is Leolaia.
Let us hope that Lady Lee hears out supplication!
i came across this new youtube video, today.
this lady pours her heart out.
(i do not personally know her.).
I only have a technical criticism: I can;t hear her!
People, when you put something up on youTube, do what you have to do to NORMALIZE your soundtrack! If you don't know what that is, get some help from someone who does, please.
Yes, I'm old, but I'm not deaf.
here's a little idea i've been batting around for a while, and i finally produced several pairs.... for those of you who followed the "mouthy" situation, when she fell down, perhaps you know that i sent a pair of "yaktraxtm" to her.
they're produced commercially, and are made to slip over one's shoes to provide a grip on icy streets and sidewalks.. they're fine for the occasional usage, but when hubby and i went hiking, i found that the rocks and high-mileage hikes [8-12 miles] were destroying the "yaktraxtm" - sometimes even before i finished a hike.. i was going through a pair every two months or less.... so i came up with my own version - something a bit more durable.... i call them, "zidgrips".
and on the suggestion of heaven, i came up with another type, called "zidchains".. so, here's the story in pix - including how to put on the zidgrips and zidchains - which i'm including for heaven's sake... .
There are also Stabil-icers see here: http://www.32north.com/
seeing as it's that time of year i've been reminiscing.
i used to volunteer as i really struggled to sit still all day, even with all the note-taking and sitting next to the deaf loop system and watching the bsl interpreter to try and learn a bit of bsl.. i have.... counted and voided food tokenspacked fruit bags at a sandwich stallcleaned the stadium at opening and closingcleaned and attended ladies toiletsmanned (or should that be womanned?!

The best job any young JW guy could have -night guard / night watchman. Make sure no demonic vandals were breaching the walls of the stadium, protect the Society's equipment and supplies.
Since you were up all those long summer nights with your buddies, you had to catch your sleep during the daytime sessions. It was a highly coveted position, naturally.
It was paradise.
the june, 2011 issue of the journal of religious history (religious history a sociological perspective) contains an article that some might find interesting (and perhaps a little naive) on jws and their history.
for what it's worth i dled it from a university webpage that pays to subscribe to the journal and then tried posting it on zhare, but didn't take.
anyone got another free, no-need-to-join host that i can post it on so all can dl it?
Well, I'm done. The people who publish The Journal of Religious History will not grant permission for the article to be reproduced here.
Sorry.
